An evening that enables talented new creatives to display their edgy and style defined designs is Telstra Perth Fashion Festival 2016’s Future Runway. To be able to showcase your work on Perth’s biggest fashion event platform is an honour for many designers though extremely celebratory for the young designers from Western Australia’s leading fashion schools.

Offering  an original and bold statement on the runway, the catwalk was executed in a way that enthralled the audience. Perth’s upcoming young designers that represent the future path for fashion culture produced designs and a runway that was visually enticing and satisfying to the onlookers. It highlights the art of fashion and is a perfect way to commemorate the hard work that went into the course of studies endured by each student. Gaining this industry experience and opportunity to step further into the real world, student designers  who are constantly pushing the envelope begin exploring and developing their own style and flair. This is what makes the evening so fascinating and unique and therefore the reason why this year’s runway of talent did not disappoint.

From the rainbow prints and dramatic flair of tailored dresses to sculptured silhouettes and interesting costume designs. The exuberant aptitude of designs sashayed down the runway strip in a bid to exhibit what upcoming designers had to offer.

The highlight of the night would have to be the final moments when lucky winners of each category took home a coveted TPFF Future Runway award. Congratulations to all the students who worked hard and had the opportunity to showcase at TPFF.

It was also by sheer coincidence and chance that I happen to be wearing one of her designs on the night! I absolutely love every detail about this dress, the checks, the cut and the fitting were perfect for me. And it happened to be navy – my favourite colour!
