It’s been a blur of a few months, heavily pregnant, moving houses, settling my daughter into a new school, adjusting the kids to a new house, with the arrival of my newborn son, the recovery, the school holidays, my birthday, maintenance of the household and juggling being a mother of three. Though with everything that has happened, there is a lot of change and for the better.
Recently as many of you may or may not have noticed, I have revamped and rebranded my blog to personalise it more. It was a good few months of getting everything redone, coming up with a new name/title for my blog, having a new logo designed by my sister in law (thanks sis! Both her and my brother are Graphic Designers), porting everything over and editing the website. Still it is not 100% how I would like it but it will get there in due time. I am just happy that most of it is done and I can now get back into the swing of things.
You may wonder why I have chosen “Missy-Lia” as my new brand.
Well ever since I was a teen, I used it as my nickname. On social media, on my MSN messenger chat (haha if anyone remembers that), on my online profiles and email. Lia is short for my middle name Liyana and it is so much easier for people to pronounce than my first name. It is an alias I use, sometimes when even ordering coffee or food, it has just been another name for me. Most of my friends who have known me for several years will associate “Missy-Lia” with me and this was why I chose it to be the brand name for my blog as the previous name, “Veiled Beauty” became too common. I needed to be able to differentiate myself from the other similar businesses or blogs out there and this was the best way to do so. I wanted to be known for modest fashion but at the same time, known for me. This has had to be a good decision for my blog as I have received several positive comments on it already. I cannot wait to share more and now I have a great platform to do so! Let me know what you think and what suggestions you have as well, I would love to hear from you.
